One Aldwych

One Aldwych, a place for people who don’t do generic. An address in the city’s beating heart: amidst Covent Garden’s top theatres, smart shops and buzzing bars and restaurants.

In 2019, One Aldwych underwent an extensive refurbishment, giving the hotel a sophisticated new look, whilst maintaining its playful personality and warm, dedicated service. All guest rooms and suites were redesigned by renowned designer Robert Angell. Timelessly chic and filled with natural daylight, these exquisite rooms now feature a calming colour palette and are appointed with the latest technology.

London design company Fabled Studio reaffirmed The Lobby Bar as a true destination bar with interiors evoking the building’s Art Nouveau and Parisian touches, as well as its former life as the headquarters of the Morning Post newspaper. Indigo restaurant has a bright, airy feel with a colour palette that pays homage to its name, offsetting new timber panelling, copper eglomisé mirrors and bronze lamps.

The Health Club and guest only lounge, The Library were also revamped to create calming sanctuaries to relax in, escaping the hustle and bustle of city life.  With over 400 pieces in the hotel’s private art collection, guests are always excited by the contemporary art and sculpture that is on display throughout the property. When in the hotel, look out for The Oarsman in the Lobby Bar and the 'Beano' dog affectionately called Spencer who greets you at Reception.

Flowers at One Aldwych are one of the hotel’s defining features, from the unmissable displays in The Lobby Bar to the individual arrangements in each bedroom. All are created by in-house florist, the extremely talented Mark Siredzuk.
